About Our Gum Base

Zellie’s gum base is a BHT-free, premium blend of natural and food-grade polymers and waxes, formulated to meet strict international standards for food-grade products. Polymers—large molecules composed of smaller molecule strings (monomers)—occur naturally in the human body, as well as in animals, plants, and minerals. Our gum base is entirely inert, insoluble, and non-nutritive, meaning that if swallowed, it is not metabolized and simply passes through the digestive system. Each piece of Zellie’s xylitol gum weighs 1.3 grams and contains less than 0.3 grams of gum base, with the remaining 1 gram comprised entirely of 100% xylitol.
